Offset printing works in a simple way. It uses three cylinders to transfer the image to the substrate. The first cylinder is fitted with a printing plate. The image on the plate is read "correctly" or written face-up. The first cylinder is inked, the image shifts or shifts to the second cylinder, and the second cylinder is fitted with a rubber cloth. As a result, the image on the second cylinder is reversed or becomes an "error" reading. Finally, the image is transferred from a rubber cloth roller to a third cylinder or substrate. The substrate is mounted on a third cylinder, also known as a imprintroller roller. The image is reversed again and becomes a "correct" reading or facing up in the final printed version.
A unique feature of offset printing is that the image and non-image areas are at the same surface level. Printing methods use oil and water that are not mixed with chemical facts printed horizontally from a single surface. In fact, offset printing obtains this method from lithography, so it is often also referred to as photolithography.
Types of offset presses
There are two main types of offset presses:
Single sheet offset press: In this offset press, print on a single sheet of paper, because they are fed into the press at once.
Roll paper offset press: In this offset press, printing is done on a single continuous sheet of paper fed from a large volume. The sheet is then cut into a single sheet of the desired size.
There are many differences between the various types of offset presses.
Offset printing process
The offset printing process requires considerable equipment investment and setup. However, once the infrastructure is in place, offset printing itself is relatively inexpensive. From creating artwork to operating presses and bindings, the offset printing process has a lot to learn.
Application of offset printing
Plastic printing invades every aspect of our lives, influencing education through printing books, periodicals and other reading materials, and through creative printed consumer packaging. Many applications of offset printing will be difficult to determine, but enough to say that the world would be a less interesting place to live without offset printing.
Therefore, offset printing is a printing technology that makes newspapers possible, books are affordable, and the marketing and promotion of ordinary people's weapons.
